Baltic Coast Technologies (BCT) is a mechanical engineering company based in Ostholstein, northern Germany. From our base in Pansdorf, we design, build and maintain machines for industrial production and carry out high-precision contract manufacturing. Roots in specialised mechanical engineering
BCT was established in 2024, grown out of a long-standing specialised machine-building business. The expertise from the former Schöler business is now embedded in BCT, ranging from roll forming technology to the production lines for the heat exchanger industry. This heritage provides the know-how, whilst the lean organisation ensures short decision-making paths.
The new set-up was accompanied by a deliberate decision: to move away from heavy reliance on the automotive sector towards a wider portfolio. That is why contract manufacturing now stands on an equal footing with mechanical engineering, and why we work for the medical technology, food and agricultural sectors as much as for traditional heat exchanger manufacturing. The focus is on the European market, though we also supply beyond it.
Our core competences are clearly defined: roll forming technology for thin-walled materials and high-precision manufacturing. Everything else we offer builds on these two areas.
BCT in figures
The number of machines in the market includes the stock from the former Schöler business. Some of these machines have been in operation for decades, and we continue to maintain them. This is why our service department also looks after machines built before the new set-up.

Certification and quality
Our company is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 (DIMS). For us, quality is not just a final step, but an integral part of the process: we carry out measurements and evaluations, including Cpk analyses, to ensure that your parts fit not only the first time, but throughout the entire production run.
Behind this process lie four fixed stages through which every order passes. In the design phase, we utilise simulation and extensive material databases. Precision manufacturing is carried out in-house, as is assembly, which takes place in a dedicated facility featuring quality controls and test runs. The final stage is measurement. This sequence applies equally to individual precision components and to complete production systems.
Responsibility for the region
We see ourselves as an employer and a partner in Ostholstein and take on responsibility that goes beyond the individual contract. 54 people work here, most of whom are from the local area. This shapes the way we work: when people live in the same place where they work, they naturally take the environment and the local community into account.. We take the same approach to training, because there is a shortage of skilled mechanical engineering workers in Schleswig-Holstein.
