Production lines for the manufacture of heat exchangers
Baltic Coast Technologies (BCT) supplies the heat exchanger industry with complete production systems and the appropriate tool sets for fin and tube production. This expertise stems from Schöler’s long-standing business and is now part of BCT.
Complete lines and matching tool sets
Whether you are performing the configuration of a complete production line or performing retooling of an existing system to accommodate a new profile: we supply the machines and the corresponding tool sets. From prototype and small-batch production right through to ongoing series production, we cover the wide range of heat exchanger manufacturing.
The focus is on roll forming technology for thin-walled materials. This is the core competence from which this business has grown, and it determines whether a profile can be produced cleanly at all in the required wall thickness. Design, manufacture and assembly are all carried out in-house, as is the measurement of the finished tool sets and the products (fins and tubes).
Our customers come from the automotive industry, the heavy-duty sector and general industry. Depending on the application, the profile geometry, material and cycle time vary considerably. This is why we do not sell off-the-shelf machines, but design them according to your specific requirements.
Tool sets for fin and tube production
A tool set determines which profile an existing machine can produce. Rather than investing in a new machine, you can use it to perform retooling and switch to producing a different profile. We supply tool sets for tube and fin production, both for our own plants and for machines from the former Schöler business, as well as for all machines from other manufacturers.
Tool sets for tube production
Welded tube profiles
Folded tube profiles (B-type, Snap, multi-chamber)
Multi-part tube profiles with and without inner fin
Special profiles according to requirement
Tool sets for fin production
Plain corrugated fins
Dimpled and louvered corrugated fins
Corrugated fins with offset and with flat top
Special fins, such as turbulators

Production lines for fins
For fin production we supply rolling machines, punch presses and specialised combined machines. The appropriate design depends on the type of fin and whether you wish to produce in a single-track or multi-track configuration.
Fin mills, single-track and multi-track, for corrugated fins: louvered, dimpled, with offset or flat top
Fin presses for pressed turbulator profiles as well as herringbone, corrugated, rectangular and plain fins
Special fin machines as combined rolling and punching machines
Machines for prototype and small batch production

Production lines for tubes
In tube production, the number of material strips processed determines the machine design. From single-strip applications to multi-chamber tubes made from three strips, we cover all standard processes, as well as downstream processing and the peripheral equipment surrounding the production line.
It is the peripheral equipment that determines whether a production line is operational. A strip accumulator bridges the gap during material changes without the machine having to stop, whilst online quality inspection flags up deviations during the ongoing process rather than only at the final inspection stage. We will determine which components are suitable for your production line during the design phase.

Single-strip application for radiator and condenser profiles
Multi-strip application for condenser and evaporator profiles, multi-chamber tubes from up to three strips, Snap-over and B-type
Folded Tube Mills and Seam-welded Tube Mills for radiator tubes, charge air cooler tubes, hourglass tubes and window spacers
Process and media applications such as internal and external tube coating as well as in-line quality inspection
Accessories such as cut-off stations, dimple units, strip accumulators, strip splicing units, tube stackers and packaging systems

Where our machines are in use
Heat exchangers are used wherever heat has to be dissipated or transferred. The requirements in terms of profile, material and quantity vary considerably.
Industry and energy
Automotive and suppliers
Heavy duty and commercial vehicles
Machines for radiator, condenser and evaporator profiles as well as multi-chamber tubes, such as those used in vehicle air conditioning and engine cooling systems. Tight tolerances at high production volumes are key here.
Our machines manufacture radiator tubes and intercooler tubes for trucks, construction and agriculture machinery. The profiles are designed to be more robust, and the machines are accordingly adapted to accommodate greater wall thicknesses.
In industry and the alternative energy sector, the focus is usually on special profiles produced in small batches. To meet this need, we build machines that can be adapted quickly to different profiles using tool sets.

Prototypes and small batches
Not every project starts with a complete line. For new profiles we first produce prototypes and small batches so that you can test the component before deciding on a production line. This preliminary stage allows us to determine the design of the tooling and equipment without you having to invest in the full-scale production stage beforehand.
Every system goes through the same four stages at our company: design and simulation using extensive material databases, high-precision in-house manufacturing, assembly in a suitable environment with thorough checks and test runs, and finally quality control including measurement. Only then is the system delivered to you.
Support throughout the entire service life
